We believe that everyone should have a positive place in their community so that the destructive cycles of loneliness, low self-confidence and lack of purpose can be broken.
The Vine Centre creates positive places where we are all safe, have fun, are genuinely cared for, good behaviour is modelled, and everyone has an opportunity to contribute and grow.
We aim to:
- Provide a quality space for community to come together and to access support services.
- Reduce isolation amongst local people.
- Support older people to remain active and independent.
Our building is used 7 days a week for a range of activities. Some delivered by us, some in partnership with other providers. It is also available for hire.
Community Café
Our Community Cafe is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, offering delicious, freshly-prepared meals for £3.50. It is a great time to come together and meet people in a safe space.
Over 55s Day Centre
We run a full programme of activities and events for older people in our community. These include;
- Craft
- Prize Bingo
- Quiz
- Reminiscing
- Gentle Exercise
- Table Top Games
- Baking/Cooking
Trips
We work with local partners to provide affordable family days out. Recently, this has included trips to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Lightwater Valley and Bridlington.
